Powershift contains two gears and two camshafts where the camshaft integrates each other and controls the odd gears whereas the others control even gears. Powershift Transmissions initiates the operation with the first gear and turns over the camshaft whereas the traditional method the camshaft is fixed already and hover the gears that can be used during the up shifts of the vehicle.
The accelerator should be relieved in order to eliminate the binding of the gear as well as damage of the gear with each other. When the user presses the clutch then stick shift operates to upshift where the next gear is ready for the functioning in a waiting mode. The clutch pedal release makes the camshaft to be engaged with the second gear and now the camshaft waits for third gear. This is repeated until it reaches the highest gear level set by the vehicle and later on turns back to first gear. Thus powershift plays a major role in controlling the vehicle which enables the shifting of the gear in an easy manner.
