- Breed: American Bobtail - Ages: 1 year old - Color: Seal Tabby Lynx w/blue eyes
I purchased "Franklin" in VT while visiting my sister. It was unplanned and I flew back to Florida with him under my seat. I paid $400 for him without papers. He is GORGEOUS! He gets oohs and ahs from everyone that has ever seen him. I brought him home but then my son and his wife and baby moved in with us. "She" will not allow him in the house and keeps him locked up in the garage all of the time. She throws a fit anytime he comes inside the house. He's has fleas now and he's getting a bit aloof. He was my baby before she gave him the boot. He followed me everywhere. He's a very quiet cat with a soft meow, and he will talk to me when I talk to him. He will eat absolutely anything. The only thing I have found that he won't eat is pickles! He does beg at the table some. He also eats cat food, both dry and soft, and I only buy him quality cat food. I can't stand to see him out there in the garage. I bought a doggie door so he could come inside, but "she" keeps locking it. It's a long story. Anyway, I'm going to sell Franklin while he is still young and playful before he turns into a crusty old crabby cat. He has big ear tufts, a perfect 4" bob tail and a shaggy coat. He's got gorgeous markings and his back looks like he has tiny wings. I don't believe in declawing cats, so his claws are still intact. He's very smart and understands what you say to him. He's also a brat and hates the flash of the camera so I can't get any good shots of his eyes now. Every time he sees the camera he closes his eyes. I attached a couple photos of him as a kitten before he got wise to it. He's not too good with little kids. He will leave them alone, but if they pester him, he will playfully bite and grab them with his claws. It scares kids and when they pull away his claws will scratch them. He's never clawed my furniture as long as he has scratching posts and toys. He is neutered. I saved $200 on him by not getting his papers, so I don't have them. However, he is a purebred. I didn't care since I was going to neuter him anyway. I never expected to be looking for a new home for him. He is very good using the litter box and has never sprayed anywhere. He loves sleeping on his back all stretched out and always crosses his front legs when in repose. Any questions, just ask. I've also got tons of photos of Franklin and his mom and dad. I just can't stand keeping him just to leave him out in the garage all the time. I want a better life for him. I want him to live inside a house with lots and lots of love.
