My wife and I picked this up two years ago as a recreational vehicle and have barely driven it.... used it mostly for a few trips and to move into our new place in North Carolina last year.
It's in *excellent* condition, but I work from home on the internet all day, which means it has been way underused... and my wife wants a new volvo sports car... so what can I say? Happy wife = Happy Life.
We will sell this for way below Blue Book value, in order to have a timely transaction.... we need the down payment ready for the next vehicle we will purchase. As most people know, trade-in value is too low at dealerships to consider at all so we are selling it privately.
DESCRIPTION: V-8, virtually untouched/untapped engine, all maintenance kept up "to a T" .....Black on black, STX model, customized seat covers, brand new rear sliding window, full sized spare included (installed underneath), full 6 foot bed, full size cab, upgraded/oversized tires (32's) and one of the coolest features is the Rhino-Lining in the bed (this is a commercial-grade spray coating that is one inch thick and is impervious to damage or wear, making the bed virtually indestructible. Full towing package installed as well. Also includes a brand new jack and lift system, a great cd player with iPod input and four 5X8 speakers system. Windows are pro-tinted to a beautiful 20 percent all the way around, providing a smooth, private ride.
It is also still under the warranty that we purchased, which is connected to the VIN number with Ford motor company. It doesn't expire until 75,000 miles and the truck is only at 59,000. Body is beautiful minus one or two minor chinks on the rear bumper from towing a few trailers when we moved.
Please keep in mind the vehicle's title was lost after we purchased it directly from out-of-state dealership. We contacted the dealership that we wrote the check to and they closed 16 months ago with the economic landslide. They provided documentation to us via a letter that they were closed and that their records are not accessible. I spent a good while (too much time!) trying to dig it up to include with the sale of the truck. I eventually gave up! What you can do, which I have researched myself, is to apply for a "bonded" title with the state of NC. It should cost you between 70 and 150 dollars extra, so I dropped the price of the truck by that amount and more to cover costs like these. In addition, I have drafted a Bill Of Sale to provide proof of ownership and transfer of ownership, including the VIN number , the name of the seller (me and wife) and the name of the new owner. That way everything is nice and tight for the new owner!
I love this truck and I'm sure I'll miss it and get another one down the road.... Ford is the best motor company ever, in my opinion.
Kelly Blue Book value : $15,105
Our price: $13,105
(RIDICULOUSLY LOW COST - I did tons of research to find out what this truck was worth before I bought it , and I have done just as much research to find out what it is selling for, especially around western north carolina, so you need to know this will not last long. As I mentioned, I work from home, so call me and you can come check it out anytime.
contact me at my office at home, near the Brevard area... if I'm on the other line, please leave a message and I will get back to you shortly
