Silk Leaf is an heirloom variety popular during the 1930s and 1940s and dries yellow. Silk Leaf is a cigarette tobacco which is light in flavor and has more nicotine content than modern varieties. It is suitable as a base to blend burley and oriental for a fine smoke. The plants range to 7 feet tall or bigger. The ones I grew here in N. Central Texas in poor clay soils this year went to 6 feet tall, heavy leaves and extremely drought tolerant. The leaves went to 24 inches long, were thick textured and Im sure will be bigger in better soils. This is a very hardy, drought-tolerant plant that loves the heat. It can also be used for dip, snuff or chew.

Virginia Gold is the common cigarette tobacco used in modern cigarettes. It can also be used for dip, snuff or chew.

Havana is a cigar tobacco and is also good for chew with a stronger tobacco taste.

I will include a website address of a forum where you can get all kinds of instructions and help on all areas of tobacco production from growing, harvesting, curing and making cigs, cigars, pipe, snuff, dip, chew and twist. If you can grow tomatoes, you can grow tobacco. You can expect about 3 oz. of dried tobacco per plant.

Please contact me via phone or e-mail with your order. I accept Pay Pal or pre-paid check and money order.
