I have a back ground in classical: But I teach all kinds of
music. I ask the student to make a list of 10 songs they want
to learn. This way they can hear both their mistakes and progress.
Besides no one likes to work on music they don't like.

I do teach how to read music: This way if your taste in music changes changes, you can go in any direction you want. There are no
