| Last October 31, 2008 our 4 yr.old beagle Sam was killed by a hit and run driver in front of my 14 and 11 years olds...We have spent the last year mourning him and are so totally ready for a new puppy..I have tried to adopt a puppy from all of the local shelters, but they are too expensive for me..I am a single Mom and $300 is way out of my budget..If anyone knows of any puppies that are out there that are free we would love to adopt one..Any type of puppy is fine, we have no real preference, though it might be best that it is a larger breed because I have 5 children at home..Three of my children are adults though..Thank you so very much for your time and consideration...
