| Chicagoland Dog Rescue is a shelter-less rescue run by all non-paid volun- teers. Our goal is to rescue dogs that suffer or are homeless.
All Chicagoland Dog Rescue dogs are up to date on routine shots and are spay/neutered unless they are too young for the procedure.
***FREE TRAINING CLASSES FOR DOGS OR PUPPIES ADOPTED FROM CDR*** More info on: www.chicagolanddogrescue.org
Most of our dogs will be at Saturday, November 21 adoptions: 10:30 am to 2:30 pm at: Petco, 672 Barrington Rd., Streamwood, IL
We prefer that our dogs be adopted to homes within a 35-40 mile radius of Schaumburg, IL. We require that the entire family be available to see the dog at adoptions and that they bring any dog they may own to meet the potential new dog.

ALABAMA, Mixed Breed, Male, 2 to 3 years old (PHOTO #1) Alabama was rescued from a bad situation in Iowa. He's only 20 pounds and should probably be more like 30 pounds. Alabama is in a foster home now and is very shy. He is warming up to his foster mom. He will venture out in the yard by himself, but if he hears a noise, he runs back in the house. Little children might be startling to him right now. He needs to learn that the world can be a friendly place.
ALF, Chow Chow Mix, Male, 2 years old (PHOTO #2) Alf was found locally as a stray and was not claimed.
ASPEN, Boxer Mix, Female, 1 to 2 years old. (PHOTO #3) I am a smaller/medium sized dog that was found locally as a stray and not claimed. I am playful & sweet. My favorite past-time is cuddle time The home I get would be perfect if it includes a nice comfy couch with someone to cuddle with. I love other dogs, so a doggie buddy would be nice. I am good with kids & I am crate trained too. If you have room in your life and maybe your couch, I can pack my bags and be there in no time at all. Kisses is another favorite activity of mine.
BORIS, Collie Mix, Male, 2 to 3 years old. (PHOTO #4) Boris was found locally as a stray and was not claimed. He likes dogs and is very beautiful with his mahogany & white coat.
DAKOTA, Catahoula Mix, Male, 4 years old Info from Dakota's foster mom: Dakota loves to take walks and is potty trained. He is crate trained, but I am not really sure he needs to be in a crate while I am not home. But with the other dogs in the house, it's best for everyone's safety. The other dogs pick on him. While not living with kids, he seems to really like the neighborhood kids. However, due to him being large and not always staying down like he should, he might do best in a home with kids over 5/6 depending on their sizes. Training: he could use some more manners, but over all he is not too much trouble. He needs to stay off counters & people. On a leash he does not tend to pull unless he sees a rabbit, bird, etc. Then watch out. However, I am thinking with a few training classes this could be fixed. Was told by the shelter that he does not like cats. I have a feeling once you see the big guy you will fall in love. He is very sweet and only seems to want to please others.
FRENCHIE, Poodle, Female, 4 to 5 years old. (PHOTO #5) Frenchie was found locally as a stray and was not claimed. She likes to be held and seems to like other dogs.
JIMMY, Border Collie/Basset Hound Mix, Male, 9 months old. Jimmy came to Chicago to find his forever home from a Kentucky shelter. He is an adorable, energetic puppy who loves people, tennis balls and toys. He is crate trained and lives & plays with another dog. True to his border collie roots, Jimmy is very smart and has an abundance of energy. This boy definitely needs a yard and plenty of play time. If you are looking for a flyball or agility prospect, Jimmy would like to meet you.
MAGGIE and SUSIE (PHOTO #6), Maltese, Females, 4 years old Maggie & Susie were abandoned tiny Maltese, weighing about 4 lbs. They have been spayed, microchipped and are up to date on their shots. They have been given short haircuts due to very matted coats. They are sweet, gentle loving little girls that love to be held and just lay on your lap.
Maggie is timid, shy, and scared. When scared, she goes to her crate where she feels safe. Susie is very scared and will follow the person she bonds with everywhere. Due to poor nutrition, both dogs must be fed canned dog food. Maggie's teeth are not the best & Susie has no teeth. Both girls will do their duties outside but are not potty trained. These are loving little girls that have been neglected and need a lot of patience and love.
MIKEY, Lab Mix, Male, 4 months old (PHOTO #7) I went to a foster home with 5 other dogs. They are really big and I was scared at first, but now some of them play with me and that's fun. I'm happy here. I have other dogs to play with, a fenced in yard to run in, and someone to cuddle with. I also get my own bowl of food that I don't have to share and that's really neat. My foster mom said she and the dog rescue will make sure I get a real nice home with a family that will take the time to teach me all the things I need to know to be a good dog. Come meet me at adoptions. I'm sure you will love me. I'm already working on housebreaking and doing pretty good.
SASSY, Schnauzer, Female, 10 years old Sassy is an owner give up from Hancock County, IL due to a divorce situation. She gets along with other dogs and is good with children. User-258749 (Schaumburg, IL) 847-259-6458 Visit website
