Police are looking for anyone who was in the area of Lincoln Street and Indiana Avenue about 2 a.m. Aug. 15 2009.

William “Billy” O. Floyd, 22, was fatally stabbed on the street corner in back of the McDonald’s that night. No one has been arrested in his death but police have released a sketch of a person of interest.

A woman in the McDonald’s parking lot said she didn’t have a cell phone and drove off when a witness asked for help.

A man in a white car in the drive-through tried to give first aid.

Police haven’t talked to either of the three. Detectives urge them or anyone else who was around at the time to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS or submit tips online at www.crimestoppersinl­andnorthwest.org.­

“Some witnesses may not feel they observed much, but detectives are requesting to speak with them anyway,” Officer Jennifer DeRuwe wrote in a news release.

Last week, detectives requested call records for two cell phone numbers - one belonging to Timothy Lubben, who was with Floyd when he died, and one to a woman the men had argued with hours earlier, according to a search warrant.

Lubben, 20, is in Spokane County Jail on unrelated charges.

The man considered as “a person of interest” in Floyd’s death is described as white, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2 with a medium to skinny build and shaved face.

The man had short hair, glasses and was wearing a dark shirt and possible blue jeans, according to a police news release.
