Redfish Court on Snead Island's Mangrove Pointe is an elite street of quality homes take a look at our Virtual Tour and Image Gallery. No other street on Mangrove Point can compare.

Snead Island on the southern shores of Tampa Bay, at the mouth of the beautiful Manatee River, lays an island that is a magical mix of modern and ancient. This area has a long and rich history of human habitation dating back thousands of years. Centrally located 30 minutes to downtown Sarasota or St Pete and 45 minutes to Tampa.

"Snead Island takes its name from Edward Snead, who homesteaded 128 acres at the end of this 740-acre island in 1843. A federal project opened a navigable channel in 1898 through the shallow flats on the eastern end of the island connecting the Manatee River and Terra Ceia Bay. This channel, which became known as the "Cut-Off", saved several hours of travel time. A ferry connected Snead Island with the mainland. In 1907, Ed Pillsbury, who tended the two beacon lights at the mouth of the Manatee River, built the Pillsbury Boat Works."
Sellers quote,"We were planning a Two Story mansion with Large Veranda on top(third level) to enjoy sun and 360 degrees scenery of wonderful views of blue water, green islands, bridges and boats on Tampa Bay and Manatee River."
