from the oil of soybeans. This makes it much safer than paraffin wax. It

does not release the harmful CARCINOGENS that paraffin wax does.
(paraffin is a by-product of crude oil.)

Soy wax does not produce soot. It burns twice as long as paraffin.
It is biodegradable, water soluble and cleans up with hot soapy water.
