- Breed: Indian Runner - Ages: 1-4 - Weight: 3-5lbs - Color: Fawn and White
I WILL NOT SHIP. ONLY HOMES IN COLORADO AND NEIGHBORING STATES WILL BE CONSIDERED! IF YOU ARE NOT IN COLORADO OR A NEIGHBORING STATE, DO NOT INQUIRE, thank you. Male and female indian runner, both between one and three years old. The female (Mimi) was rescued from a city park where she was attacked by a dog. She has healed very well, but as a result the sight of one her eyes is impaired. She functions normally, but needs to be looked after. She was living on a lake, and would prefer to have access to water. She is very tame, and eats out of our hands. The male (Harry) injured his foot last year, and one of the webs in between his toes is torn. He has healed very well, but he limps a little on land. Both of these birds would be especially vulnerable to predators. We cherish these birds, but need a new home for them. We have state-of-the-art chain link fencing, lock them up every night, provide Mimi with calcium supplements in yummy treats that we feed her by hand daily. They have been let out on grass to forage during the day, but are locked safely away every single night. They do not live with other ducks. A home with other hens or peaceful, pleasant birds/animals of other species would be fine, but we WILL NOT send these birds, either of them and ESPECIALLY not the hen to a home with other male ducks. IF YOU ARE JUST LOOKING FOR A FEMALE DUCK, PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE. We want a home for them of similar quality, where they will be loved as pets. If you can provide such a home, feel free to email, and be prepared to either send us photos and a detailed description (especially if you live more than two hours away from Denver) or provide a tour of your pens/yard to one of us in person. Thank you.
