There are literally thousands of homeless pit bulls that we are trying to save daily from being put down. There is nothing wrong with these poor dogs, they are just without homes for one reason or another. Most likely irresponsible breeders and/or owners.
A good pit bull breeder: ***will ask you questions and make sure you are ready for a pit bull.
***is knowledgable about the dominant breeds and will have an "open door:" policy answering any questions you may have for the life of your dog.
***will make you sign a contract to guarantee that you aren't a puppy mill and will not overbreed your dog or breed to non registered dogs.
***will offer a partial refund if you get your dog fixed before 9 months of age to cut down on pit bull over population and euthanasia.
***will also include in the contract that if you can't keep the dog, the breeder will take it back or assist in rehoming with a suitable owner.
Often times people get a pet off of a breeder that they are not ready for, not that there is anything wrong with the dog, perhaps they live in an apartment and the landlord says - a pit bull? no way! A bad breeder won't take the dog back - bam, the dog is homeless. Many scenarios arise that leave these dogs in shelters waiting for euthanasia.
Please consider a rescue dog first! The following are some beautiful blue and white pit bulls that are in need of homes throughout the country. I have posted some of the thousands of blues in need of rescue - but if blue is not your choice - I guarantee there are all kinds of colors, shapes and sizes to choose from. The rescue list is endless. If you are interested in seeing what rescue dogs are available in your area, please respond to this email and I will hook you up with a shelter/rescue in your area.
