Thunder is a stunning black bay Missouri Fox Trotter stallion that stands around 14.1 hands
tall and is 14 years old.
Thunder was broke as a 3 year old but hasn’t had a ton of sweaty blankets in a while.
He also has only been ridden with a hackamore, never had a bit in his mouth. I rode him
in the fall and winter a few times on the trail and he did wonderful for not having been
ridden in so long. Not a lick of buck. He just needs those sweaty blankets that would
make him a great horse.
Thunder is smooth and gaits constantly in his pasture. His coat shines like polished coins.
No shoes, He has great feet and stands for trimming. He leads, loads, doesn’t care for
bathing but will stand.. He has never offered to bite or kick, lunges in the round pen,
stands tied.
He is an easy breeder and keeper. Doesn’t take much to keep him fat.
He has a whole pedigree of champions.
I thought I was ready to have a stallion, but I have too much on my plate right now.
I would love to see him go to someone who has more time to spend with him and
not just allow him to be a pasture ornament. BUT, If someone wasn’t interested in
ever riding him but wanted some beautiful babies, you could turn him in with a pasture
of mares and have some really nice foals.
