THE PROCESS

When working with stone careful planning, design and layout are critical to the projects success.
We put this together to help you learn what to expect, and discover how we build a granite kitchen.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Thank you for opportunity to estimate your job. Should you accept our proposal, we will need the following information:

Contact name, number and full address.
Signed proposal.
The customer must personally select their exact stone and location to be installed.
A 50% deposit is required upon order.
Payment of the remaining balance is due on the day the job is completed.

Templating:
Our technicians will arrive at the job site to make accurate patterns of the area receiving stone treatment. Before the template trip is made certain requirements must be satisfied:

DEMO: On remodels, if needed we would remove your existing countertops and prepare the cabinets for granite tops. We will do so at time of installation. We will also disconnect your plumbing at time of tear out, so be sure not to use your dishwasher until your plumber has reconnected the water.

CABINET PLACEMENT & FASTENING: Kitchen cabinets must be set and fastened into their permanent location at the time of the template. The cabinets must be straight and level with one another especially when using 3cm granite.

Perfection Granite Co. will template over old furnishings.

SINKS: If you chose an under-mount sink to be installed with your granite the sink should be at the jobsite for the template appointment. Our technicians will then bring the sink back to our workshop. If the sink fits into a cabinet, please be certain it fits correctly. If you chose a top-mount sink to be installed with your granite, the sink and all plumbing fixtures should be on the jobsite at the time of installation.

COOKER TOPS: It is important that the appliance is at the jobsite when our template professional is taking measurements.

Fabrication:
Prior to fabrication, we encourage you to approve your slabs. If your drawing submitted for your quote differs from your actual job we will let you know at this time and adjust the price up or down accordingly.

Installation:
Installation will take place approximately 10 business days from template. Sometimes it is less and sometimes it is more depending on the scope of work.
Most installations will take one day to complete.

Once the installation begins we will top it off by polishing your seams. This high-end process sets our company apart from our competitors. It produces a seam that is almost impossible to feel.

When your granite has been installed and cleaned, our technicians will apply a penetrating sealer to the surface of the countertops. Installation is now complete. Before our crew leaves the jobsite we will be sure the work area is clean.

We want to be certain you or your client is satisfied. Please make a final inspection of your job. Final payment is due upon completion of the job, unless you are on account with Stone Edge Works.

Job Completion:
Your inspection of the finished job is very important. The lead installer will review the installation with you, answer any questions you may have and ask for payment of the final balance due for your project.
