Here at Lazy D Ranch we strive for quality Mini Aussies going back to what the aussie was originally bred for- work!!! One VERY IMPORTANT aspect of the aussie's nature that breeders these days have gotten away from. We do take every necessary precaution to keep our dogs, as well as puppies, happy and healthy. We are not a kennel- our dogs are free to roam our ten acres. Puppies are always welped inside our home. Tails docked, dewclaws removed by licensed veterinarian at 3 days old. All breeding stock have their hips Pre-Lim'd and OFA'd, eyes are CERF yearly. We have several dogs that have mulitple champions in their background and the looks to go along with it. However our focus is to produce working dogs or dogs capable of ranch work, as that is what these dogs were originally bred for. Our aussies range from 13 in to 16 in tall and 15lbs. to 40lbs. Whether they come from show or herding lines ALL of our dogs have strong herding instinct! And we are proud to say that ALL of our minis can still work cattle as they were BRED TO DO!!!! Females only raise one litter a year. Puppies will be registered with NSDR, ASDR, MASCA, or NAMASCUSA. We strive for quality not quantity. We do not show our dogs but are proud to say that they are capable of it. If you are interested in what Lazy D Ranch has to offer please don't hesitate to ask.
