This beautiful red dog named Fox is 2 to 3 years old, 35 lbs, neutered and vaccinated.
He is extremely affectionate and gentle and gets along with cats and other dogs very well! After much research I believe him to be a Finnish Spitz or a Jindo. He has a very gentle, calm and curious nature.

When we first spotted Fox, he was curled up on the side of a busy road in the grass. We thought he was a coyote. He was living on the street, sleeping on the side of the road, and living on hand-outs from passers-by.

We were able to trap him and bring him home to domesticate him. It took a month before we let him out of the small pen and allowed him to run free in the fenced back yard with the other dogs. Since then he has learned to walk with a leash, to sleep spoon-style with the cats, and to hug hug hug! He has become such an affectionate dog it is hard to believe he was once wild. I never had to teach him to heel … he just stays right by my side on walks … and, by the way, he LOVES to go for walks!

It may take a couple of days for him to become acquainted with and learn to trust a new family, but he’s so smart and sweet that he will easily and quickly come around. He needs a loving family and craves the one-on-one attention that he can’t get here, due to the number of rescued dogs we have. When he gets that, he’ll be the most grateful and loyal dog you’ve ever had!
