In October we had a new litter at Cafitachiqui. Nine gorgeous and healthy puppies were whelped by our Gray, black and white AKC female Summer's Enniska Moon. We have six males and three females in the litter.

Enniska and her AKC mate, Prince Knut of Nanook, are descended from champion bloodlines that goes back generations and spans approximately 90 years of proven ancestry. Both Knut's and Enniska's earliest ancestor was Togo of Leonard Seppala's Great Serum Run. Balto got all the glory while Togo, the true hero of the journey, got little in the way of recognition. Balto had no progeny as he had been neutered. Togo was the only one to provide descendants. Togo's line led to the creation of the Seppala and Wheeler Canadian Kennels followed by those of Innissfree, Monadnock, Frosty Aire, Alyeska, Cold River, Chinook and many others of reknown. The Monadnock line set the standard for the Siberian Husky breed. Monadnock's Pando became the standard for the AKC siberian husky and his progeny is Knut's ancestry. Like his ancestors, Knut has shown himself to be a sire of superior progeny in his own right. The kennel names above attest to Knut's proud heritage. Enniska's own heritage is equally impressive and includes the Belote, Kontoki, Ojoko and Karnovanda lines.
