By way of invitation to view VOCES OLVIDADAS MAGAZINE, we are a national monthly publication, in Spanish and English, that focuses on the needs of the Latino elderly and those that care about them.

Voces Olvidades is dedicated to providing information on the needs of Hispanic older adults. Our pages promote an active and healthy aging, a positive image of aging, an image that is real and very much needed.

According to the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Hispanic elderly numbered 2.9 million in 2006 and is projected to grow to more than 15 million by 2050. By the year 2028, Hispanics 65+ is projected as the racial/ethnic group in this age group.

Voces Olvidadas places in the hands of the readers topics of interest not solely for the elderly but also for those persons responsible for their care. Our objective is to offer to our readers the most important information on health and wellbeing as well as taking into account that this important population group is diverse in their origins and history.

Our MISSION is to reach those places most forgotten in our U.S. society while the elderly die due to abandonment and discrimination. We cannot allow our elderly to continue being invisible. It is alarming those that do not listen to these forgotten voices.

Our purpose in Voces Olvidadas is to seek in the present, for the elderly to have dignity, respect, and appreciation for all they have already given.
