Curriculum At Tuckers in-home daycare...

I write my own theme-based lesson plans, framed on the methods developed by a team of experts and based on leading research and best practices.

Our curriculum is designed to offer preparatory learning in a fun and inspiring environment. So, your preschooler will develop not only a solid academic foundation through the guided discovery of language arts, math, and science, but also creative expression by exploring, learning about themselves, art, and music.

We are hands on group, weekly themes, and projects every day.

Kindergarten readiness and self-life skills
Writing and literacy
Art (glue, cut, paint ect...)
Science and sensory
Math and manipulative
Cooking
Dramatic play and music

We have a great schedule. I absolutely love what I do. I am very far from a babysitter. There is no TV during the day. Once in a blue moon or special occasion we will watch a movie in the theater room however that might happen a couple times in a year.

I have a secure webcam in my home so my parents feel they are here every step of the way. Isn’t it neat to think you can sit and have lunch with your child?? How about grandparents out of town who would love to see their grandchildren?

I am always taking pictures of the children and when I have at least 100 or more I would make a CD for Mom and Dad.

I feel we are a team (parents and provider) If you have any ideas, games crafts or themes for the children that you think they would enjoy please feel free and share I ask for all of my parents to be apart of what we do here.

All of my children also have a " all about me memory book " We really take our time through the year filling it out with the letters of the week, hand , foot, family , friends, likes ect..... This is a little something special for my Children and parents.

I provide breakfast from 7 am to 8am, 2 snacks, and lunch I am also smoke free, Licensed, USDA certified, CPR, First aid, no pets, Tax deductible and we have a Loving, Clean & Playful atmosphere.
