Wanted a parrot that is not as big as the cockatoo. I am looking for a parrot that likes to sit on shoulders and be involved in regular daily activities. I have an Albino ringneck parrot and a bright yellow ringneck parrot. Neither of them are shoulder birds. However I can now touch the yellow ringneck on the head. I work with him everyday. They are both let out of the cage every night for two hours. They love to be on their toys on top of their cage but are not love the kind of bird that likes to have lots of attention. I also have two lovebirds. But they like to stay together and be in the living room (a little small for cuddling lol). I have a 12 year old daughter and we are both interested in a parrot that we can actually handle and cuddle with. Our life is very devoted to our birds, 3 cats, and two ferrets. Don’t worry we are very careful to supervise Sophera, Crystal, Piper, and Ringo when they are outside of their cages. Plus piper doesn’t like the lovebirds and is very protective of her cage. Ringo on the other hand runs from the lovebirds. Piper has never hurt the lovebirds due to piper just showing an attitude towards them and showing them she is miss Queen bee. The lovebirds are also good flyers. So everyone gets exercise. The ferrets Chloe and Mr. Weasel keep Sophie, Baby, and BooBoo on the move. Due to so many mouths to feed I can not afford to pay for a parrot but I can afford to feed one more mouth and give lots of love and affection.
