VIN: GHN5UL488474 G 0 miles 4 cylinder 1800cc engine 4 speed manual transmission Blue exterior Tan interior
Your are looking at a very very nice Blue 1979 MGB that you can have for a fraction of the price of restoring one yourself or paying someone to restore it for you.
This car stared out life as a yellow, steel wheel, non overdrive car and has now become a beautiful dependable blue, wire wheel, overdrive car. That was professorial restored By British Cars of America LLC
Body : This is the part of the car most of you MG fans are asking yourself about "is the body sound?" "is there any rust in the sills or doors or fenders?" Well to answer you simply any rust on the car was cut out and replaced with new metal. We started with a very soild body tub that was just starting to get rusty sills. We cut out the old rusted ones and ordered new sills outers and inners and spot welded them in to look just like they did from the factory. The paint is a single stage blue metallic that looks amazing in the daylight and is very much a car you will like to be seen in. It is a color change car but that doesn't mean you will see any of the old color peeking through in the trunk, engine bay, door jams, floors, under the dashboard, behind the door panels. Every place that has paint was painted the new color meaning the car was totally apart for the painting process.
Engine and Gear Box : This engine was freshened up with a full detailing a re-ring of the cylinders and new bearings on the rods. It has had all the smog (emissions) items removed (there not needed anymore in Missouri) and we installed a set of S.U.s on it and a factory header to help it breath alittle better (it runs very very well) It starts easy and shifts are smooth and easy. The overdrive works great and is a big plus (easy highway speeds and good fuel economy)
Interior : The seats were redone with a very nice moss motors kit in a tan that goes perfectly with the blue paint. The door panels are also new moss panels. The carpet set is in black and is a very durable loop carpet. There is no radio or speakers in this car but it is very easy to fit a sound system (all the wiring for one is there) The top is a new robins top (the best top we've found for MGs)
Suspension : both front and rear have been rebuild front has polly bushing as does rear. The king pins were rebuild and rebushed. The rear axles are new as are the splines (front and rear) The wire wheels are dayton wires and are about two years old but have no rust in the spokes or rim. The car handles very well (better then new)
I could go on and on about how much work and how great a car this MGB is.
