| ----- My name is David Forrest and I am seeking assistance in getting my animals back to me. You see, I had a drastic life-changing experience back in March of 2007 and now I am heartbroken because the two best companions that I had are not in my life anymore. I went from being successful to not having anything, no place to call home; no family and friends that would be there for me.. Please try to help me locate these dogs....They were my life and I cannot find them......I feel that I have been used and abused and very misunderstood..Please I need this story to get out to the public because I have no idea where these dogs were placed and I have nothing to show for them. I pasd $ 1500.00 for the two of them when I purchased them separately back in 2004 and now they have been separated from me and I cannot seem to get my head together. I have been very depressed and suffer from anxiety; and it has all happened to me within the span of March 2006 until now...Please read the following: which was part of my blog on MySpace.com.. Please contact me if you can be of assistance. I need someone who will be on my side...@ 401-954-9609 or email me at: blacknight02919@yahoo.com or write to me @: David R. Forrest - 162 Broad Street - Unit # 920 - Providence, RI 02903. I need to hear from people...It is getting very hard to cope with everything that has happened to me...Please take a look at all of the attachments and you will be able to see the reason why I love those dogs so much and need them, back in my life.......
These two bassets might be in danger.I own these dogs and they are not to be surrendered to anyone....Call me if you know there whereabouts at 401-954-9609 and ask for David....Please help me...Take a look see at the photos in the album for buddy and lilly....I want them back...they might be in harms way. Last seen in the Rhode Island area of Providence and or maybe Lincoln....do not allow these bassets to be harmed or in any way given up for adoption....THIS IS URGENT.....
Please try to help us………..I need the money and they need a good place to live……If there is any way that you can board these dogs in RI for free or even defrayed the cost until a find a place to live, please contact me ASAP…. Once again, thank you for your assistance……. Sincerely yours; David R. Forrest

Comments: Hello, I e-mailed you yesterday about Buddy. I'm with New England Basset Hound Rescue. We had 2 dogs turned over to us by someone from Lincoln, RI. This person said they rescued them from a drug addict. The male looks alot like Buddy. He and the female are due to be neutered Friday, so contact me if you think this is your dog. 508-243-3622.
By the way, some guy had turned them in to New England Basset Hound Rescue in Spencer, Mass. last week and they were neutered on Friday..They wont give them back to me.....
Dear David,
I have contacted our attorney once again regarding your false allegations. In addition to your false allegations, you are also attempting to slander our non-profit animal welfare organization which we will not be tolerated. Please refrain from your accusatory emails and your harassing phone calls.
Since 2001 New England Basset Hound Rescue has cared for and placed well over 600 homeless and unwanted Basset Hounds in New England. No adoption or surrender is ever completed without the respective legal and binding contracts.
Very truly yours,
Karen Fortier, Director New England Basset Hound Rescue, Inc.
