| Warning to all! I highly recommend that you do not allow James Easter to move ANY of your stuff! His phone number is 801-654-6941, and his email jameseaster2@hotmail.com (or james_easter2@yahoo.com and jameseaster2@yahoo.com). He uses the heading Big Stuff Moving, and claims he is licensed (125463...though no records of this exist in Salt Lake County).
I hired James Easter to move a refrigerator. First, he was an hour and half late. Then, he loaded my $5500 refrigerator onto a rickety old trailer that was covered in dirt and debris. Then, at the drop off site, HE DROPPED MY REFRIGERATOR off the side of the trailer, despite my many warnings that it was top-heavy and needed special care. He then gave me a fake insurance policy # and said not to worry (I spoke with the insurance company, and there is no record of him), though he CLAIMED he was insured.
Later through email, he said he was not insured and that he would be filing for bankruptcy rather than accept responsibility for the broken frige. When I said I would have to place this ad, he called it harrassment (I call it consumer protection!). He claimed his identity had been stolen, and that even with a 740 credit score (he claims) he cannot get either a loan or a credit card to pay us back. He has repeated lied and misrepresented himself, and even tried to say the fridge falling was my fault (he left very colorful voicemails and text messages I would happily share with anyone interested)!
I highly recommend that you avoid James Easter. He lists under the names: Big Stuff Moving; Discount Scrap & Junk Removal; Discount Handyman Services; Truck, Trailer & One Strong Man for Hire, and possibly other names. Look for his phone number 801-654-6941.
