The goal of this drive goes far beyond the pages of the books. It's important to me to give these children something brand new to call their own, something that they don't have to share, borrow, or return. This may not seem significant through the eyes of those accustomed to it, but claiming a possession in a world of communal space can be a ray of hope in the lives of children experiencing homelessness.
