Come to Little Rascals Childcare.

A typical Little Rascals day:

Drop-off Time**** (usually between 6am and 9am): Diaper change or feeding*, depending on when your child was fed/diapered last.

9:00am - 10:00am: tummy time, playtime

10:00am - 10:30am: morning snack time for children 18 months to 2 years (usually graham crackers with apple juice or something similar)

10:30am - 11:30am: morning nap

11:30am - 12:00pm: lunch**

12:00pm - 12:30pm: we go for a walk outside***

12:30pm - 1:00pm: Circle Time (18 months to 2 year olds learn ABC's and 1-2-3's; younger than 18 months I read infant books)

1:00pm - 1:30pm: each child is diapered before naptime

2:00pm - 3:00pm: afternoon nap

3:00pm - 4:00pm tummy time and playtime (we also may do crafts at this time, especially around holidays)

4:00pm - 4:30pm: afternoon snack

4:30pm - 5:00pm: each child is diapered before time to go home

5:00 - 5:30pm: Pick-up Time****

*NOTE: each child is diapered every 2 hours, infants are fed every 3 hours, in addition to the scheduled feedings/diaperings­
**Each child brings his/her bottles/lunch, snack is provided by the center
***We do not go outside if temperature is colder than 40 degrees or warmer than 90 degrees
****Each parent needs to sign their child in and out of the childcare center; if someone other than regular parent comes to pick up child they MUST have a signed note unless parent calls and tells me the person's name and says it's ok (I WILL check ID)

At the end of every day you will receive a take-home sheet for your child with the following information:
diaper changes: times and whether BM or wet
feedings: times, type of food and how much they ate
other activities: such as walks, crafts, books we read at Circle Time
emotions: happy, fussy, content, sleepy

Each Child Needs To Bring:

bottles/formula/jar­ food/sippy cups
lunch, if on solid foods or jar foods, feel free to stock your cubby with jar food
1 extra outfit to keep in cubby in case of messes
1 bag of diapers to keep in cubby
1 tub of wipes to keep in cubby
necessary ointments and creams for diaper rash
a list of allergies of child

Forms To Be Filled Out:

If you need me to give your child medicine such as ambisol or diaper rash cream you must bring a signed note allowing me to do so along with the medicine.
If your child is 18 months or older, you need to sign a form allowing me to feed your child snack unless you wish to bring your own.
Each parent will need to fill out a form with emergency contact information, Dr. information, and allergy information as well as any conditions or illnesses the child has (i.e. asthma) This is VERY important and I will not accept your child without it.
You will also need to sign a statement stating the times, days, and rates for your child's care.

Little Rascals is conveniently located 5 minutes from Greenbrier Mall in Chesapeake, just 3 minutes from 1-64. Little Rascals is an insured childcare center. Little Rascals is a smoke-free environment. Closed federal holidays and weekends. Little Rascals is open 6AM to 5:30PM Monday through Friday.
